The Fourth of July is an occasion for celebrating US values. Summed up, these values are anchored in 
America as a law-based enterprise, framed by diversity, and underpinned by a venerable Constitution. 
Its trumverate is: The Declaration of Independence; the Constitution; and the system of checks and 
balances. With a non-politicized judiciary. Free from the absurd shenanigans of the likes of Mitch 
McConnel, and William Barr. The primary enablers of Trumpian lawlessness. 
  
Sadly, in the age of Trump, The Fourth is bereft of its ideological luster. Trump, the super narcissist, 
has hijacked it. Turned it into a day for celebrating "your most favorite president." The militarization 
of the Fourth is nothing but foisting a mammoth fiction. That fiction is designed to eternalize the cult of 
Trumpism. A cult which is telegraphed by his crazy utterance "I alone can fix it." 
  
Tanks in the streets of Washington on the Fourth is no more than copying the totalitarian models. Such 
models rely upon an exhibition of raw power. But America, in times of peace, has shown its strength
through an affirmation of its values. Values not tanks. The context and  formula of such behavior are 
worthy of Naziism, Fascism, Putinism, and Ordoganism. It is a failing Spartan method of brandishing 
strength through military parades, and in your face threats and bluster.
  
Among the myriad examples of Trump's abandonment of The Rule of Law is this: Priding himself on 
being  unpredictable." Well, hooray for lawlessness!! The primary quality of LAW is that it makes 
outcomes predictable. Hence the public reliance on, and anticipation of that predictability. Leading 
inexorably to the reflexive observance by the populace of the Rule of Law . 
  
Let Trump has his whimsical personalization of The Fourth. Heil Trump!! For when his residence in 
the Oval Office is over, the Law shall be waiting for him outside. Ready to nab him and his crime 
family in order to atone for the structured denigration of the values that kept America a law observant 
corpus.
  

Only without that fake president, shall America truly reclaim its Fourth of July.

Human Rights

In the modern era, especially after the Second World War, the rights of individuals to all aspects of human dignity were recognized in the UN Charter of 1945. From the preamble through to Article 68. Three years later, and thanks to Eleanor Roosevelt, the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.
